  1. What do I have to do to become a Walk Leader?
    In order to become a Walk Leader, you must attend the certification workshop, pass the written and the movement exam, and have a current CPR card. If you do not have a CPR card by the certification date, you can take the certification, but you will not receive your certificate to teach your Walk classes until we receive a copy of your CPR card.
  2. Are there certain requirements to become a Walk Leader?
    Other than a current CPR certification, there are not any specific requirements to become a Walk Leader other than your passion and enthusiasm to inspire others to MOVE! 
  3. Am I responsible for finding my own location and recruiting my participants?
    Yes, Leaders are responsible for finding a location that is appropriate for their needs  and for recruiting participants.  This information will be covered during the certification at which time you will receive your Walk Leader business manual.  Great places to  start  are church halls, school cafeterias, work sites, corporations, community centers… and any place people gather.
  4. Is there an age requirement to become a Walk Leader?
    A Walk Leader must be 18 years of age.
  5. As a Walk Leader, am I responsible for liability insurance?
    Yes, we strongly suggest that every Walk Leader purchase liability insurance. On certification day, you will receive a brochure directing you to an affordable rate. (approx $12/month)
  6. Are Walk Leaders required to charge a certain class fee?
    The national average for class fees range between $7 for advanced payment and $10 for an individual class.  Of course each one should research their own economic area and can adjust their rates accordingly.  But we highly recommend no less than $5 per class.
  7. Is Walk Leader  a part-time or full-time business?
    It's whatever you want it to be. How much time and effort do you want to devote?
  8. What is included with my $1200 certification fee?
    Walk Leader provides you with the highest level of training not only in the fitness arena but also in the business area. Upon completion of registration and payment, you will receive your study materials within 5-7 days:
